Zionism: a Jewish Communal Response
Zionism: a Jewish Communal Response is new pamphlet written by leading Rabbis and academics, seeking to address a growing concern amongst the UK Jewish community that Christians are too ready to dismiss Zionism as a political movement of only incidental importance to Judaism, rather than a central facet of Jewish identity. Authors are: Rabbi Dr Tony Bayfield, a FODIP Patron, Rabbi Jonathan Wittenberg, the Senior Rabbi of the Assembly of Masorti Synagogues, Rabbi Danny Rich, the Chief Executive of Liberal Judaism and Dan Rickman, an Orthodox Jew and leading academic. The document was written for the Board of Deputies of British Jews and contains a foreword by the President, Vivian Wineman. Read the pamphlet here |
